    Description

Up for consideration are a pair of ancient Ban Chiang-  Dong Son Drum handles. These are quite amazing. They are so old that there are mineral crystals growing on the bronze. Crystals from copper called "azurite" crystals an "malachite " crystals. These are so old the bronze is turning back to their native ore materials. The Dong Son culture was a sea faring culture that traveled and traded all through South east Asia. They were the first  culture in Asia to cast bronze and iron. They traveled from Thailand to Indonesia up to present day Viet-nam. They possibly taught the Chinese, Viet-Namese and present day Thai how to refine metal from stone ore and cast tools and jewelry from native copper and add mixtures of other metals .They were a prehistoric culture 3000 years ago. These are Rain Drum Handles.
