Fine Vintage JAPANESE Woodblock Print-VILLAGE IN RAIN-Signed-Publisher Marks-NR

Description

For sale is a fine old Japanese woodblock print of a seaside village in the rain, complete with publisher’s marks.  The print is about 10 3/8 inches wide by 15 1/2 inches tall, with rough top and left edge and smooth right and bottom.  The print shows a view of islands in the sea over the roofs of a village, with diagonal lines indicating rain.  It is signed in the lower left on the print area, and it has publisher’s marks down the left margin.  It is stamped “Printed in Japan” on the back.
Condition on the picture is fairly good.  There are some stains across the top margin, minor wrinkling, and the paper has an odd odor.  A fine old Japanese woodblock print!
