>Offered here is an
old and original
1962 University of Oregon Ducks
track and field cardboard schedule poster-sign
!!
Please see all
six
photos, as they are an important part of my description. This extremely
rare
vintage schedule measures approximately
14" x 11"
and is sturdy cardboard. The schedule (yellow and green - Oregon's school colors) features thumbnail "head shots" of a few of the track stars for this '62 Oregon team:
Dyrol Burleson, Harry Jerome, Jerry Tarr, Sig Ohlemann
and
Keith Forman
. The athletes are super-imposed onto a victor's "laurel wreath". The slogan
"Follow the Champions!"
is present at top. The sked announces the "Six Great Meets!" at historic
Hayward Field
here in
Eugene, Oregon
- home of the University of Oregon. The schedule of home track meets culminated with the 1962 NCAA Track and Field Championships, which Oregon won! The schedule-sign also mentions tickets for all meets could be purchased at the old basketball arena,
McArthur Court
. The NCAA logo is also present on this colorful and graphic schedule. Along the bottom border, there is additional advertising for the Oregon football "Varsity-Alumni" game, also to take place at
Hayward Field
. A simply outstanding piece of Oregon track and field history....you'd be hard-pressed to find another anytime soon!

Condition:
the schedule/sign is in *Fine Shape* overall, showing only minor age/handling faults which includes light bends/tweaks to the cardboard. There are
no
tack holes or tape marks present! Very deserving of a quality mat and frame!
